Customs Department Submits Detailed Three-Year Report on Balochistan Quota Compliance to Establishment Division

Islamabad : In accordance with the instructions issued by the Establishment Division on July 4, 2025, the Pakistan Customs Department has submitted a comprehensive report detailing compliance with the constitutionally mandated 6% employment quota reserved for the province of Balochistan in federal government service. The report covers the period from January 1, 2022, to June 30, 2025, and includes recruitment data for candidates domiciled in Balochistan appointed against posts ranging from BPS-01 to BPS-15 within the Customs Department. The information has been compiled in the officially prescribed formats Proforma P-1, P-2, and P-3 and has been submitted to the Pakistan Public Administration Research Centre (PPARC) for monitoring and evaluation of provincial representation in federal appointments. The Customs Department has reiterated its commitment to strict adherence to the provincial quota policy, ensuring merit-based and transparent recruitment practices. The department further emphasized that any identified shortfall or gap in the implementation of the Balochistan quota will be addressed through appropriate corrective measures to ensure that eligible candidates from Balochistan receive full and fair representation in federal government employment, in accordance with the directives of the Constitution and the federal recruitment policy
