The Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) has accelerated the promotion process for BS-17 officers to BS-18 by initiating final preparations for the convening of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC). In this connection, a formal circular has been issued by the competent authority.
According to the circular, all BS-17 officers falling within the prescribed promotion zone have been directed to submit their Performance Evaluation Reports (PERs) and Declarations of Assets up to June 30, 2025, ensuring that the record is complete and accurate.
The circular categorically states that the required documents must reach the Board no later than January 16, 2026. Failure to submit complete documentation within the stipulated timeframe may result in exclusion from consideration by the DPC.
Sources believe that the convening of the DPC will help clear long-pending promotion cases and reinforce principles of transparency, merit, and administrative efficiency within the Pakistan Customs Service. The move is also expected to boost officer morale and strengthen overall institutional performance
