PCA Detect Tax evasion of rupees 60 billions during Two Years,

Karachi : Directorate of Post Clearance Audit (PCA) has identified tax evasion of rupees 60.5 billion and recover Rupees 6.7 billion during the past two financial years,. The Cases generate on intelligence Based , data- analysis and multiple irregularities were detected in the clearance of import and export consignments. PCA South discovered a major case of money laundering worth rupees 120 billion Importer were involved in over-invoicing of imported solar panels. PCA South also detected tax evasion of  rupees 48 billion and recover rupees 2 billion during the two year Similarly PCA Central detected tax evasion of rupees 12.5 billion and recover rupees 4.7 billion in same period. In addition, the audit formations identified misuse of Export Facilitation Scheme (EFS), which led to the initiation of legal proceedings against certain importers. According to officials, the purpose of these audits is to ensure compliance after the clearance of goods and to safeguard government revenue by addressing post-clearance irregularities.
